What's New on the 2018 Ford Expedition?

Geared toward active families, Ford introduced the all-new Expedition, the smartest, most capable and most adaptable Expedition ever. The 2018 Expedition features new technology and connectivity features and provides a generous interior space, perfect for a family on the go. The 2018 Ford Expedition will feature more driver-assist technologies than any other full-size SUV. More than 40 features and driver-assist technologies were added to the new Expedition. 2018 Expedition Engine and Towing Specs The new 2018 Expedition will be powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine with standard Auto Start-Stop plus a class-exclusive new 10-speed automatic transmission. A newly available electronic limited-slip differential on models with Intelligent 4WD improves off-road capability by sending power where it is needed. The 2018 Expedition is expected to deliver the best towing capability of any full-size SUV and because many Expedition customers value towing, the new Expedition offers Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

The new Expedition will also feature Terrain Management System, which lets customers choose between drive modes for optimal vehicle handling in different conditions. It includes normal for around town driving, sport for a more spirited drive, tow/haul for improved towing and hauling performance, eco for enhanced fuel economy, grass/gravel/snow for loose terrain, sand for low traction, and mud/rut for uneven surfaces.
